Focus and Scope – JSA : Journal of Soilscape and Agriculture
Focus
The Journal of Sustainable Agriculture (JSA) focuses on advancing scientific knowledge and innovation related to soil, land, and water resources to support sustainable agriculture and responsible natural resource management. The journal emphasizes high-quality, evidence-based research that integrates biophysical, technological, and environmental perspectives at multiple spatial scales.
Scope
JSA welcomes original research articles, review papers, and short communications covering, but not limited to, the following topics:
Soil physics, soil chemistry, and soil biology
Land evaluation, land suitability, and land capability analysis
Soil and water conservation practices and technologies
Agricultural engineering for sustainable land and water management
Agroclimatology and climate change impacts on soil–crop systems
Environmental assessment and ecosystem sustainability
Land-use and land-cover change dynamics
Sustainable land management strategies and policies
The journal strongly encourages interdisciplinary approaches, including the application of geospatial and spatial-based methods such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial modeling, and decision-support systems. Research linking soil, climate, agriculture, and environmental sustainability within socio-economic and policy contexts is particularly welcomed.
